Nostril verse Mouth breathing?

I heard you get 30% more air (by volume)into the lungs when you breath in through your nose as opposed to an open mouth breath...is this true?

i really don't know if its true. i myself don't believe it, because if i breath in as deep as i can through my mouth, n then i shut it n try to breathe in more air through my nose, i can't fit any more in. however i do know that it is better to breath through your nose because the hairs in your nose filter out any kind of dirt that would have otherwise went into your lungs and also it warms the air more which is also better for you.

No, your mouth allows greater volume.
