I don't have any teenagers yet, but I was allowed when I was a teenager as I was considered to be mature enough for it.

I think whether or not you do depends on the maturity of your child. After puberty seeking these things is normal, and it's much safer to have them seek it from a book or a website than from the real thing.

they should! I'm a 15 yr old, I watch porn all the time. lol- not all the time, maybe like twice a week. My mom doesn't know and I dont think she wants to know (Good thing, cuz I dont wanna tell). How many parents really wanna think about their kids looking at porn, having sex or even masturbating at their "young" age? They think such things would make kids want to go out and have "unsafe" sex with others or even expirement. Ofcourse, parents would rather their kids be a bit more productive than watch porn. But when its 12pm, you've completed all your hw, studied for classes, cleaned your room, and your "in the mood". Why not watch some porn? Besides, its educational! It's not like my parents are planning to give me a visual presentation on sex anytime soon.

No, you don't allow them to, if you find it you have a right to throw it away as a parent. However, as a fellow human being you have to give them a certain level of privacy and cannot restrict everything they do in their spare time. I personally believe that looking at pornography will not hurt a teenager. Rather it will allow them to release sexual energy that should not be pent up.

No, absolutely not. Even with the most ardent monitoring, they'll see some things on their own and there's nothing you can do about that. But certainly you should not encourage it in any way. It is too graphic, too rough online now. Much more advanced and mean/sadistic. You should teach your children about loving, healthy sexual relationships...which includes, when you're adults and behind closed doors (married or not, your choice if you want to emphasize) doing what's comfortable and right for the two of you.

My ex-husband and i use to catch our sons all the time watch the SPICE channel. well we decided to turn to it one day with them in the room. They was shocked at first and then we started asking them questions. It turned into sex education after that. We pointed out the fact that they were havent unprotected sex and how if she had something now she passed it on to david, mike and john. After we did this for about a month (once a week) we notice they wasnt watchn it. They was 9 and 11 then. Now they are 17 and 19. Plus i didnt find out last night my olldest boy is still a virigin....\

If u just tell them not to watch it without explaining they will want to do it more.....its like tellm them not to go in the liquior store without explaining whats inside and why u cant abuse it....

    Hope it helps

My son is only 21 months old but when he becomes a teen it will not be allowed. It won't be allowed before he's a teen either. I hope I raise him with the morals and values that he never wants to look at it but if he does it will be when he is an adult and not in my house.

I would say that you should not "allow" them to look at porn.

No. Nowadays children and adolescents have enought with prime TV. Everything is sex oriented even cartoons! I am really surprised because some of the new cartoons have a lot of double meaning and sexual unertones. If you ask a kid now about sex they seem to know more than you and at a very early age. Its scary...

Instead of limiting their access, start treating them as adults. Have a discussion about it in a humorous manner sometimes. If you forbid it, they'll find a way to look at it somewhere else and will keep it from you. Don't shut yourself out, keep your communication channel open, it's important at this age.

Parents are so stupid. They think that they control everything there kids do. Well i hate to break the news to you, but if your teen wants to, they're look at porn whether their control freak parents want them to or not.

NO, if they want to look at porn, wait till they are 18 and out of the house, then what they do is not up to me anymore, it is up to them.....seeing how they are adults then.
