How long should I study for the GMAT test before taking it?
I only need a 450 to get into grad school since I did my undergraduate there. However I have ben out of college since 1999. I know I will need to brush up on math.
thanks for a no help answer--duh, I am the type that never feels 100% ok with a test. Just wanted a ideal of how long others studied.

Take a diagnostic test by downloading the GMATPrep™ Test-Preparation Software from Mba.com
These are the official practice tests and mimic exactly the look, feel and scoring of the real tests.
If you get a 500+ I'd say you are ready to take it.
If you get lower than that I would suggest that you study for about 30 hours over a period of about a month and then take another diagnostic test and see how you are doing.
If you need to study then PrepForTests.com's GMAT tutorials, practice questions and tips are the right place to start.Source(s): GMAT practice tests http://www.prepfortests.com/gmat/resources/practic...
