Genesis through Revelation the holy father said it for him. He did not testify of himself but the father testified for him.John 8:12-59 12 ¶ Then spake Jesus again unto them, saying, I am the light of the world: he that followeth me shall not walk in darkness, but shall have the light of life.

13 The Pharisees therefore said unto him, Thou bearest record of thyself; thy record is not true.

14 Jesus answered and said unto them, Though I bear record of myself, yet my record is true: for I know whence I came, and whither I go; but ye cannot tell whence I come, and whither I go.

15 Ye judge after the flesh; I judge no man.

16 And yet if I judge, my judgment is true: for I am not alone, but I and the Father that sent me.

17 It is also written in your law, that the testimony of two men is true.

18 I am one that bear witness of myself, and the Father that sent me beareth witness of me.

19 Then said they unto him, Where is thy Father? Jesus answered, Ye neither know me, nor my Father: if ye had known me, ye should have known my Father also.

20 These words spake Jesus in the treasury, as he taught in the temple: and no man laid hands on him; for his hour was not yet come.

21 Then said Jesus again unto them, I go my way, and ye shall seek me, and shall die in your sins: whither I go, ye cannot come.

22 Then said the Jews, Will he kill himself? because he saith, Whither I go, ye cannot come.

23 And he said unto them, Ye are from beneath; I am from above: ye are of this world; I am not of this world.

24 I said therefore unto you, that ye shall die in your sins: for if ye believe not that I am he, ye shall die in your sins.

25 Then said they unto him, Who art thou? And Jesus saith unto them, Even the same that I said unto you from the beginning.

26 I have many things to say and to judge of you: but he that sent me is true; and I speak to the world those things which I have heard of him.

27 They understood not that he spake to them of the Father.

28 Then said Jesus unto them, When ye have lifted up the Son of man, then shall ye know that I am he, and that I do nothing of myself; but as my Father hath taught me, I speak these things.

29 And he that sent me is with me: the Father hath not left me alone; for I do always those things that please him.

30 As he spake these words, many believed on him.

    31 Then said Jesus to those Jews which believed on him, If ye continue in my word, then are ye my disciples indeed;

32 And ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.

33 ¶ They answered him, We be Abraham’s seed, and were never in bondage to any man: how sayest thou, Ye shall be made free?

34 Jesus answered them, Verily, verily, I say unto you, Whosoever committeth sin is the servant of sin.

35 And the servant abideth not in the house for ever: but the Son abideth ever.

36 If the Son therefore shall make you free, ye shall be free indeed.

37 I know that ye are Abraham’s seed; but ye seek to kill me, because my word hath no place in you.

38 I speak that which I have seen with my Father: and ye do that which ye have seen with your father.

39 They answered and said unto him, Abraham is our father. Jesus saith unto them, If ye were Abraham’s children, ye would do the works of Abraham.

40 But now ye seek to kill me, a man that hath told you the truth, which I have heard of God: this did not Abraham.

41 Ye do the deeds of your father. Then said they to him, We be not born of fornication; we have one Father, even God.

42 Jesus said unto them, If God were your Father, ye would love me: for I proceeded forth and came from God; neither came I of myself, but he sent me.

43 Why do ye not understand my speech? even because ye cannot hear my word.

44 Ye are of your father the devil, and the lusts of your father ye will do. He was a murderer from the beginning, and abode not in the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he speaketh a lie, he speaketh of his own: for he is a liar, and the father of it.

45 And because I tell you the truth, ye believe me not.

46 Which of you convinceth me of sin? And if I say the truth, why do ye not believe me?

47 He that is of God heareth God’s words: ye therefore hear them not, because ye are not of God.

48 Then answered the Jews, and said unto him, Say we not well that thou art a Samaritan, and hast a devil?

49 Jesus answered, I have not a devil; but I honour my Father, and ye do dishonour me.

50 And I seek not mine own aglory: there is one that seeketh and judgeth.

51 Verily, verily, I say unto you, If a man keep my saying, he shall never see death.

52 Then said the Jews unto him, Now we know that thou hast a devil. Abraham is dead, and the prophets; and thou sayest, If a man keep my saying, he shall never taste of death.

53 Art thou greater than our father Abraham, which is dead? and the prophets are dead: whom makest thou thyself?

54 Jesus answered, If I honour myself, my honour is nothing: it is my Father that honoureth me; of whom ye say, that he is your God:

55 Yet ye have not known him; but I know him: and if I should say, I know him not, I shall be a liar like unto you: but I know him, and keep his saying.

56 Your father Abraham rejoiced to see my day: and he saw it, and was glad.

57 Then said the Jews unto him, Thou art not yet fifty years old, and hast thou seen Abraham?

58 Jesus said unto them, Verily, verily, I say unto you, Before Abraham was, I am.

59 Then took they up stones to cast at him: but Jesus hid himself, and went out of the temple, going through the midst of them, and so passed by.

Source(s): What Jewish law did Jesus break? Why would they seek to stone him? They understood what Jesus said to them now study for yourself to see what Jesus said to those sons of Abraham who were the children of the devil because they did not know him they were dead in their sins....why does a man have to know Jesus to know the father? why is he the only way to salvation? how did Jesus raise the dead? forgive sin? How did Abraham know Jesus? How is it the sons of Abraham did not know Jesus were they not talking to him? Is it the same way the Muslims sons of Abraham do not know Jesus....They too know his name.

Moses gave instructions to Israel to shed the blood of a spotless lamb to provide a temporary atonement for their sin; and that Jesus was the Lamb that God provided to make atonement for the sins of the world. Through faith in Jesus, you can have atonement with God. All your sin can be washed away—once and for all. God can grant you the gift of everlasting life through faith in Jesus Christ on the basis of His death and resurrection.

The uniqueness of Jesus of Nazareth was that He claimed He had power on earth to forgive sins (Matthew 9:2–6). No other prophet of any of the great religions made this claim. Only Jesus can provide peace with God. This is why He said, "I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man comes to the Father, but by me" (John 14:6).

God commands sinners to repent and trust in Jesus as Lord and Savior, or they will perish. There are many different versions of the bible, printed in different languages and in modern English, to help people understand the Bible, but the content of the Scriptures remains the same. The Dead Sea Scrolls prove that God has preserved the Scriptures.

Look at the 100% accurate prophecies of Matthew 24, Luke 21, and 2 Timothy 3. These accurate prophecies prove that the bible is the true Book of the Creator.

How about where he refers to himself saying, " I and the Father are ONE"

"He who has seen Me has seen the Father"

He was always about lifting up His Father and the Father did likewise, remember when he was baptized and the Father said, "This is My Son in whom I am well pleased", and the Holy Spirit decended on Him like a dove?

These references are more evidences of the Trinity in my opinion because they are all seprated but at the same time all working cohesively together! Which is Awesome. Keep up the reading and studying! May God's Spirit open your eyes and guide your studies!

Read in the gospels about His arrest. When the soldiers said they were there for Jesus, He said, "I am". Some translators add "He". It was the same word God used when Moses asked the burning bush, "Who shall I say sent me?"

Notice too, when Jesus said those powerful words, the soldiers all fell backwards.

He said it to Pilate too.

He shared that important information when He knew it needed to be spoken and I'm glad He did so we would all know.

Creation is God expressing Himself, and

we mortals are truly moving into a new age.

The earth is not flat. We are not going to sail

off the edge into oblivion. What we thought

was a universe is now an energy field. And,

it's beginning and end are merely points in

    a cycle.

Today, we are learning that we are a constant.

It's the genetic situations that come and go.

It's time to let go of yesterday.

Matt 16:13-20 (Claiming to be the Son of God)

13When Jesus came to the region of Caesarea Philippi, he asked his disciples, "Who do people say the Son of Man is?"

14They replied, "Some say John the Baptist; others say Elijah; and still others, Jeremiah or one of the prophets."

15"But what about you?" he asked. "Who do you say I am?"

16Simon Peter answered, "You are the Christ,[b] the Son of the living God."

17Jesus replied, "Blessed are you, Simon son of Jonah, for this was not revealed to you by man, but by my Father in heaven. 18And I tell you that you are Peter,[c] and on this rock I will build my church, and the gates of Hades[d] will not overcome it.[e] 19I will give you the keys of the kingdom of heaven; whatever you bind on earth will be[f] bound in heaven, and whatever you loose on earth will be[g] loosed in heaven." 20Then he warned his disciples not to tell anyone that he was the Christ.

Matthew 26:62-64 (Son of God, Messiah, Christ)

62Then the high priest stood up and said to Jesus, "Are you not going to answer? What is this testimony that these men are bringing against you?" 63But Jesus remained silent.

The high priest said to him, "I charge you under oath by the living God: Tell us if you are the Christ,[e] the Son of God."

64"Yes, it is as you say," Jesus replied. "But I say to all of you: In the future you will see the Son of Man sitting at the right hand of the Mighty One and coming on the clouds of heaven."

Isaiah 9:6 (Names of the Mesiah - note - MIGHTY GOD - Everlasting Father)

For to us a child is born, to us a son is given, and the government will be on his shoulders. And he will be called Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace.

John 14:6-10 (Jesus and God living as one)

6Jesus answered, "I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me. 7If you really knew me, you would know[b] my Father as well. From now on, you do know him and have seen him."

8Philip said, "Lord, show us the Father and that will be enough for us."

9Jesus answered: "Don't you know me, Philip, even after I have been among you such a long time? Anyone who has seen me has seen the Father. How can you say, 'Show us the Father'? 10Don't you believe that I am in the Father, and that the Father is in me? The words I say to you are not just my own. Rather, it is the Father, living in me, who is doing his work.

    Mark:14:61-62 (Claiming to be God)

61But Jesus remained silent and gave no answer.

Again the high priest asked him, "Are you the Christ,[f] the Son of the Blessed One?"

62"I am," said Jesus. "And you will see the Son of Man sitting at the right hand of the Mighty One and coming on the clouds of heaven."

The words Jesus chose "I AM" were significant to the Pharisees because He used the phrase that God told to Moses:

    Exodus 3:14

14 God said to Moses, "I am who I am . [b] This is what you are to say to the Israelites: 'I AM has sent me to you.' "

The Pharisees knew what He meant by this statement - it was very clear to them, that is by they declared it blasphemy.

No Asif, He did not but if you read what He said that summarized His coming down from Heaven,`I have come to serve, not to be served` only God could make such a statement of Himself.

Jesus is God in human form and is often refered to as the `Divine Humanity`.

Jesus Christ says in the Bible, "I am the son of God", then he said, "We are all sons of God".

As far as any verse that says exactly what you are asking, I don't think there is one.

Jesus was a very humble person, and I believe God moved through him.

Yes I know that there is but one God and Jesus in not it. So your point is? You forgot chapter 17 of John and other verses such as Rev 1:1.

  • 1 decade ago

Jesus never stated this fact directly. He didn't have to. He allowed people to worship Him (Thomas), He forgave people's sins, He claimed that God and He are One, and he spent His entire public life doing things only God could do. Actions speak louder than words.

Muslims (and Islam) say Jesus was a prophet but they reject all His teachings ....that is hypocrisy.

    They reject Christ's divinity;

    they reject his claim to be the Son of God;

they reject his death on the cross...

    they reject His ressurrection..

They reject Jesus is the Christ/ Messiah...

    Need I say more...?

Don't be deceived. The Islamic god is totally different than the God of Jesus Christ .

"Who is a liar but he that denies that Jesus is the Christ? He is anti-Christ, that denies the Father and the Son. He that denies the Son, the same has not the Father." (I John 2:22)

Source(s): " You shall die in your sins if you believe not that I am He (the messiah)". - Jesus Christ"
