What kind of city is Chesterfield (St. Louis) Missouri?

This city is close to St. Louis. Is it a good place to live, raise kids? What are the job opportunities in medical and engineering fields? Does St. Louis has good schools and universities? Please reply. Thanks in advance

The city of Chesterfield is far enough away from St. Louis city to be considered safe. Chesterfield is one of the area's "money zip-codes". Chesterfield is a very desired location to live in the area. To give you an idea, they have a Bentley dealership. We have some top rated hospitals in the city as well as world know research facilities. However, I am not sure of the engineering job markets.

Chesterfield is a growing suburb West of City Center by about 30 minutes or so. Expensive housing. Good Schools. Good neighborhoods for raising children.

If your moving to St Louis Area Avoid the East side and some of the North side isn't such great neighborhoods to even drive near.

The Area has some very Top notch medical hospitals and Engineering as well...

Chesterfield is very nice and there are a lot of great resources for families in that area. Parkway schools are excellent. The only university I think is Maryville, which is okay. But, Washington University is one of the top schools in the country and it is in St. Louis.

Job opportunities in St. Louis in the Medical field are abundant. I don't know about the engineering field.

I worked in Chesterfield for many years, Now I live in Dallas, I would take the St Louis area over here any time.

The area is and has been growing very rapidly. The farther west of Chesterfield you go the better for living arrangements. Then travel into town for work.

The Medical field is thriving there too.

There are alot of fun things to do with a family as well. The zoo is Great! and the science center too, all free!

It is your typical suburban area with lots of franchised restaurants and strip mall shopping centers. St. Louis (the real one, the City) is a GREAT place to live with lots to see and do and none of the headaches of commuting 30+ minutes one-way everytime you want to do something with local flavor. Washington University (located just outside of City limits) and St. Louis University (inside the City) are both excellent universities. Re; Medical and Engineering - a life science corridor is being created along Forest Park Avenue and I have heard they are doing some amazing things...

Chesterfield is a very rich community, there are good jobs and good schools but I don't know much about job opportunities in the medical/engineering field. All of the neighboring towns (Manchester, etc) are rich communities.

Chesterfield is an upper class area with good schools, etc. Prepare to pay a little more for everything.

Chesterfield is nice. On the south west side of town, traditionally known as a nice part of town.
