A marriage blessing is what takes place between the man and the woman. The thing that makes them married. A marriage blessing is just for the couple to make their union official. A wedding is the ceremony...generally for the family, not necessarily for the couple. In summary, you have a wedding, where people attend...to watch the marriage blessing.

Sometimes a blessing takes place during a wedding ceremony; well wishes and approval for the wedding that is taking place.

If there is just the wedding blessing that's going on, it is still the approval and well wishes for the couple, but it is not a legal ceremony. Just a blessing.

You can have it as a wedding. I would just renew the same exact vows because you say that the original vows have been broken. I think renewing your vows is a perfect way of saying how much love you guys have for one another and that it's feels just as if it was the first time you were married.
