    Yes, Zeebya is correct. If you are looking for a broadcast quality camorder, than you are looking for 3CCDs, a Microphone input (XLR or Normal) MiniDV. Most of these run for about $800-$3500. I own a Sony DCR-VX2100. I love the video quality it produces, and I have heard it is good enough for broadcast. If you are willing to spend $3000, you should get the DCR-VX2100. If not, than get a GL-1, or if you are even lower than that, you could get one of Panasonic's PVGS250+ models. I do not think they are broadcast quality camcorders, but they are almost close to.
