What kind of grass seed can I plant in the winter?
I live in Oklahoma, we rarely get snow where I live but it does get cold. Is there any kind of grass that will grow in the cold weather?

I know of no grass that will grow in the cold weather. Most grass needs above 65 degrees to grow well with sunny days. When you do plant the grass the best time is spring and fall and get a grass that is recommended for your area. Keep away form Kentucky 31

If you are trying to fill a bare spot or keep it green over the winter plant annnual rye grass now . It will grow during the winter ,die out when it warms up and provide nitrogen for your warm weather grasses.I have it growing right now in SW Missouri.
