Why are there few if any females with hemophilia, even though it is shown on pedigrees of families that have known males with the disease?

it is x linked recessive, meaning that a male will have the disease if his one x chromosome has the disorder. for a female to actually have the disease, she has to have 2 defective x chromoxomes
