The best way to start is to find out what kind of lizards they are. That will hold the secret as to why they are in your house. Check to see what oppertunities they have by living in your house instead of outside. The first thing we can assume about these lizards is that they are probably coming in as the weather is gettting cooler and they are cold-blooded(meaning they regulate their body tempuature by moving to warmer and cooler areas. Next see what food oppertunities they have. Most likely they are going to be insect eating (most lizards are) so they may be eating any bugs that are creeping around your house. Get rid of the bugs, get rid of the lizards.(you'll want to get rid of them at the same time anyway because you could get a growth spurt of the prey when you get rid of the predator!) I'm assuming that the lizards are small like Anoles so trapping by any convertional trap for mice will not work as they will be able to wriggle out of them. for the final blow you may have to call professional exterminators for this. Finally take a look around the house to try and figure out where they are coming in. check attics, basements, closets anyplace that is out of the way and the temperature is pretty well regulated as that is where they would breed(though I doubt you will find any eggs this time of year you may find where this years brood was born as they will probably go back there from time to time to hang out. A lot of this should be done by your landlord(lady) depending on your rental aggreement. I hope that helps somewhat(of course you could always just get a cat!)

There was a lady yesterday that said she would take all someone would send her. They live off insects, if you get rid of the bugs the lizards would probably leave.

When we moved into our house 11 years ago, the first thing my wife and I missed was the geckos on patrol for bugs. Thankfully, in a year or so they showed up and have been around ever since. When one gets into the house, I just catch it and take it outside. They are cheaper than Orkin and a lot safer for you and the environment!!

Why get rid of them. Sur ethey are lizards, but they eat spiders, witch eat flys, so it is a great balance of the eco system.

Just leave them alone. They are providing a service by eating insects.
