Has anyone out there tried to repair a Byers Choice Caroler on their own? How did it turn out?

I have a couple that have the paint chipping off of their faces, and some with chipped bases. I have the green and flesh colored paint, but have been too chicken to do it yet.

I have no clue what to do. But good luck figuring it out and getting them fixed!!
