International Adoption is said to be easier when getting an infant.

There are higher risks of getting a child that has medical issues.

Although this should not matter. A child is a child.

Some pros would be that you could be saving a child from a life time of poverty and disease, and possibly death. You can usually decide if you want a boy or a girl. And, the parents are VERY unlikely to ever come back and try to find the child. But, the adoption process is so long and expensive. A relative of mine is in the process of an international adoption and what they thought was going to be a year has turned into at least 2 and thousand more than expected and a lot of frustration. Personally, after seeing what they have gone through, if I were in a hurry for a baby, I would not go international. But, if you are wanting to do it to help a child in poverty, then international is great. I have thought about adopting a child from Ethiopia.
