Didn't you hear? The producer was kidnapped last week (in real life) and the media kept it really low key, didn't want to cause a big panic, the paparazzi gets all out of control with things like that you know.
So, instead of creating a big huge storyline to kill off the characters and stuff, they just cancelled the show.
The actors were pretty upset and some of their agents are suing the network and there's a big uproar at the studio but it's not widely publicized right now until they get a good lead on the real life kidnappers.
The cops and the FBI don't have many leads but there's a sizeable reward for any info, a lot of fans are donating to the reward fund as their way of showing support to finding the producer and hoping to get the show back onto the air in hopes that he is found or that the kidnappers might see that the reward is so high and might exchange him for some sort of ransom.
True fans should totally be up to date with all this, call the KIDNAPPED hotline.
