How would you find the pecent of increase or decrease?

From 9 m to 10m.

    i don't know what you mean by "m," ..maybe meters? anyway...say you start with 9 and then go to 10...the increase is 1..to calculate the percent...take the change (1) and divide it by the original (9). in this case, going from 9 to 10, you had an increase of 11.11111 %

    The difference is 1. So if you want to find the percent decrease divide 1 by 10. If you want the percent increase divide 1 by 9.

    Subtract the initial value from the final value to get the numerical difference ...

    10-9=1

    Divide the numerical difference by the initial value ...

    1/9=0.111

    Multiply by 100 to get the percent ...

    0.111x100-11.1%
