You should be able to go to control panel and set up user names with passwords. This way you must always enter a password when logging on.

Also you can set your screensaver to have a password if you leave it up.

    that easy!

    1) Click 'Start' button

    2) Click 'Control Panel' icon

    3) Click on 'User Accounts' icon

    4) You will be able to set a password for your PC so that everytime you boot up your PC, it will require a password..

Give it a try. I know you can do it...

go to START and then CONTROL PANEL. if you have windows xp (any version) click CLASSIC VIEW if there isn't a PASSWORD option then click USERS and then it should give options for the users and one of them should be passwords. your kid will be able to turn on your computer but he will only able to sign on as a guest and not be able to download, install, or acess you files.
