Got a fix-it ticket for tinted windows and I don't think their that dark...?

My front driver and passenger side is tinted, however, I don't think they're that dark... but he gave me a ticket anyway. Does anybody know a site/place where I could get my tints checked to see if I really deserve this ticket?! Before I got them tinted, the guy told me that it would be okay and that he's sure I won't get pulled over... because why would I pay for a tint that would get me pulled over in the first place? Are fix-it tickets just like normal speeding tickets? For example, you just go to court, say "not guilty" and the judge will give you a court day? Thanks

"the guy told me that it would be okay and he's sure i won't get pulled over"-hummmmm.....the guy is running a business. it is not his problem if your tint is illegal. He is trying to make money. you knew better before you had the tint put on-correct? IT IS LIKE A SPEEDING TICKET-fines are imposed.

Fix-it-tickets (at least where I live) means that if you fix it by the date specified on the ticket, all you have to do is find a police officer to check the tint, if is kosher, they will drop the charges and take care of the paperwork for you.

you will get rid of your unlawful tint out of your residing house windows and take your vehicle right into a CHP station the place a CHP officer will examine to work out that your window tint is now legal and whether it is he will sign off on your fee ticket and turn it in so which you will no longer get an arrest warrant for failure to conform. CA is extremely strict on unlawful window tint so do no longer pass back out and retint your residing house windows at unlawful possibilities. examine what the regulation enables formerly you waste additional money.

If a police officer cannot see inside your vehicle whether it is dark or light then they can write a ticket. people who have nothing to hide do not need window tinting dark enough that an officer is in danger when approaching their vehicle then it is too dark. Get it inspected by another police officer in daylight and dark and then get it fixed and you will not have to pay a fine.

  • Go look at some of the new cars and tell me if they are darker.Good example the Hummer. They pulled me over in Georgia for that, and I when to court and won. They told me the Government is doing this, but the Legislation has not passed the bill.If they can't see who is in the car they are suspicious.

My friend got into the same incident and he proved that they came that way from the factory to the car dealer when he bought the car. They dismissed the case against the tinted windows.

I would take it to a couple of other tinting places and get their opinions and ask them why the policeman would ticket you.

Department of Motor Vehicles web site for your state.

You should be able to do a search for it.

I happened upon it one day on ours and it had the restrictions.
