why do beagles wag their tails so fast when they hunt?

    The tail wagging is connected to the scent mechanism. When a beagle is on a scent trail his tail will wag faster the stronger the scent. A well trained hunting beagle will only bark when it's sure it's on a rabbit (or whatever they are hunting).

    i have 6 beagles the reason they do that is because they love hunting so much and they see a rabbit brobably and they bark to.
