Is there a cure for Sickle cell disease for people older than 21 years?

I ask if there is a cure for Sickle cell disease for people older than 21 years because I am 23 and I know there is this operation but in people older than 15 is too risky and complicated... So I waanted to know if there is somthing new or if science Has advanced an now it is not risky...

I have been takin "Tramadol" for over 4 years because I got to much pain, but now I think Its pain and adiction... How can I take off this adiction of this medicine called "TRAMADOL"..

I really do have lots of pain but sometimes I put that medicine on with out really needing it, and the worst of all is that I don`t drink it, I inyect it, and I do it each 6 hours,... That means 4 times a day EVERY DAY....

Who can I quit that?

Please helpe me I really need an answer...

I have never heard of injectable Tramadol. So your question is suspicious.

There is not a cure for this disease for any age...As for the tramadol, it is not known for being addictive, it isn't even a narcotic. It is a hyped up tylenol type of medication....so if you want to stop taking it, stop taking it!

From what I just read, you would need a bone marrow translpant, although the risks are far greater for rejection due to your age, they have found that donor stem cells from cord blood helps greatly. The fatality rate is 10%.

Why are you injecting tramadol?? This is a pill you should take by mouth. You need to talk to your doctor.
