    This one makes a little more sense than your other two...

    If the question is: Why, during a police operation, in the United States, are there many ambulances?

    I will assume by "police operation" you mean if there is an emergency and a lot of police show up, like in a hostage situation. The answer to that would be because there is a high potential for someone to get injured, it is a good idea to have ambulances very close by. It takes an ambulance on average of 9 minutes to respond to a call, so having the ambulance already there it decreases the time it takes to get an injured person to a hospital.
