    Duncan made Macbeth the Thane of Condor thus showing he held Macbeth in high esteem.

    Look at the offices Duncan appointed Macbeth to. Also think about the fact that the king is staying in Macbeth's home...that would evoke the feeling of quite a bit of trust don't you think?
