why are some people fat when they eat a lot and some people are skinny when they eat a lot?

like some people are fat when they eat a lot and skinny people eat more than fat people and they are still skinny

    metabolism. if you exercise frequently, your metabolism is higher and so a lot of what you intake is being processed to build back the muscles in your body. if you're fat and not exercising, then there's nothing that needs rebuilding through the nutrients through food, thus you gain weight.

    the skinny ones who eat alot have a high metabolism so their body burns up most of the fat before it can be stored. the fat ones who eat alot have a low metabolism.

    It all depends on the individuals metabolic rate and how they process food into fuel in the body...some have very high metabolic rates and can take in more calories whereas some (like me) have slower metabolic rates and the food they ingest turns into stored fat...

    Slow metabolism, lack of exercise, sedentary lifestyle are reasons why some people are fat. Some are predisposed to being fat even if they don't overeat.

    People burn calories at different rates.

    The major deciding factors tend to be muscle mass/body weight ratio and activity level. Muscle fiber, like an engine, generates heat and work, consuming calories as fuel in the process.

    More muscle = more fuel used.

    More activity = ditto

    exercise & good wholesome food, not processed rubbish

    if calories burnt off through exercise > calories consumed by eating = no weight gain
