Mix pure vitamin C powder ( not buffered, it has a nasty taste) with your favorite juice, mix as strong as you can stand it/up to bowel movement, then cut back on the amount of C powder.
For energy, take some CoQ10, 10 - 30 mg, but do not take within 6 hrs of bed time, it may not let you fall asleep.
Drink Chamomile herb tea at bedtime for sore throat and to help you sleep.
No sweets, no dairy, but lots of chicken soup.
Use whatever works for sore throat; salt water gargle; Ginger tea; unsweetened Eucalyptus lozenges.
Always take a good multi-vitamin and mineral supplement with extra A, C, E, Selenium, Zinc, and the herbs Echinacea angustifolia and Hyssop (Hyssop is a good sore throat remedy), especially during flu season to protect yourself from the flu bug. Take the essential omega oils - Fish / Flax / Borage oils (Borage and Flax oil are good sore throat remedies).
If all else fails, get a bottle of MD 20/20 and watch some cartoons, after all, laughter is the best alternative medicine.
