ACT+ Writing every time?

Let's say you score a 23 on the ACT the first time, and you scored a decent score on the writing portion. You take it again and score a 27, but this time without the writing portion. If you send the higher score to a college that requires the writing portion, will they see your previous writing score, or do you just send both of them?

Send both, if they require the writing score you'll have to send the second one to show them you improved because just the second one wouldn't suffice. Unlike the SAT they don't super score the ACT which is kind of stupid haha.

You send the both of them and the college would decide the best score to use and consider taking you on grounds that you will meet the standard set.
