Prep classes for the SAT are really just a wastes of time. I took one, and it didn't help me at all. I got 2 perfect scores in math and reading, but my writing score was only 720, for a total of 2320. I only read this SAT guide, and that is how I got such high scores:

I recommend this guide to anyone seeking to get a higher score to get into a first choice college.

There's a test at our school called the PSAT. See if they have it at your school. It's a comprehensive that shows you how the SAT is set up and how the questions are worded. It costs like $12 but that's not too bad considering the preparation you get. Good luck!

Check with your school, community colleges, summer school programs, city adult education classes, etc.
