JJ Reddick is a great shooter, but nowhere near quick enough to create his own shot in the NBA. *MOST* NBA defenders can guard him one-on-one without a problem. He'll rely on his teammates moving to the basket to create open shots for him. But once he gets a good look, it's money.

He won't be like Larry Bird (who could get his shot off almost instantly) but more like Reggie Miller. Go Magic!

The better question would be, can JJ Redick stop anyone?

He's an overrated spot-up shooter. Kevin Korver is the exact same, plays no defense and can only hit open shots, but at least Korver can rebound.

Redick's production will GREATLY depend on Darko and how much extra attention he is able to bring upon himself.

Orlando makes the playoffs, eliminated in first round.

people can stop JJ Redidc. start bumping him offf and stufff talk trash to him take him out of his game. college was differnet. it was a bit freindlier, here these are pros, he is going to have to develop stuff for his game. I think u need more knowledge of basketball cuz ur saying Magic champion 2007. I thik ur wrong, and realisticaly incoorect. They won't be champions! they might make playoffs but not past the first round. TELLING U RIGHT NOW WITH OUT THE SEASON STARTING

He will play against 6-8 players like Kobe. He will need a great team to move the ball to open a shot for him to make him successful.

he will hit the the "wall" in the middle of the season..he is good but he is only a rookie....and the NBA is a much faster and physical game than college...he might be the rookie of the year..bu the won't be an exceptional player until he gets more experience

The Durham police stopped him about 3 months ago as he sped away from a check point. then he recieved a DWI as he was drinking alcohol and driving...

Reddick can not drive to the basket. He can shoot. but he cant make a lay up.. you arent very bright if you havent noticed that.

who can he guard?????? in the NBA, hehe, ,nobody....

I right with you.....Why are people hating on J.J. He can shoot his *** off yes. but people explain him like hes stupid, like he starting playing basketball yesterday. Everyone knows he can shoot so thats what they will be watching for. He will fake the hell out of defenders with a pump fake and from them its money. If people watched his games there were times that he did drive to the bucket, and for now he an get be with shooting and coming off picks sort of like Reggie.

pretty much every above average defender in the NBA can stop him...his team needs to get him open shots for him to be good (he can be a great role player on a good team..which hes not currently on) one thing i hate more than anything is when every white player who can shoot is compared to larry bird...bird was one of the greatest of all time..he was incerdible at everything in addition to one of the best shooters of all time

He is only a great open shooter which means he is just another Glen Rice, Robert Horry you can figure the rest.

    A bad back

A bottle of Vodka/six pack of beer

    A high blood-alcohol level

    Prison bars

outside of that nothing can stop J.J.
