Pyramid of Khufu (also known as the "Great Pyramid" and the "Pyramid of Cheops"), located in Giza, on the southern outskirts of Cairo is the largest Pyramid

This Great Pyramid was built as the tomb of Fourth dynasty Egyptian pharaoh Khufu (Cheops), after whom it is sometimes called Khufu's Pyramid or the Pyramid of Khufu.Khufu's vizier, Hemon, is credited as the architect of the Great Pyramid.

no name has the best answer so far... The best evidence to support, "Who built the biggest pyramid in Egypt?" has been uncovered by Graham Hancock. He estimates that the pyramids are 10,000 to 12,000 years old. It is also more likely that they were constructed as a source for energy such as an ancient power plant.

    IT WAS BUILT FOR KHUFU(CHEOPS)

It is generally believed the Great Pyramid was built as the tomb of Fourth dynasty Egyptian pharaoh Khufu (Cheops), after whom it is sometimes called Khufu's Pyramid or the Pyramid of Khufu.

    The Great Pyramid of Giza

    (29°58′44.68″N, 31°08′02.58″E)

is the only remaining of the Seven Wonders of the World. Most Egyptologists agree the pyramid was constructed over a 20 year period concluding around 2560 BC.

I researched a fair amount more using just this one site

    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Great_Pyramid_of_Giza

This date is loosely supported by archaeological findings which have yet to reveal a civilization (of sufficient population size or technical ability) older than the fourth dynasty in the area.
