    You can find your computer IP address by using the command 'ipconfig' from Command Prompt.

    But if you have a router, usually that's just your home network ip address and not the internet ip address see by computer outside your home network.

    For local IP : click Start->run, type in cmd, the type in "ipconfig /all"

    For Public IP : open Internet Explorer and browse to www.whatismyip.com

    If you want to find information on an ip address from your firewall logs, for example, you can do a whois query and more at this website. http://www.dnsstuff.com/

    If you are using windows OS

    go to command prompt type "ipconfig"

    if you are using linux

    open new terminal

    type "/sbin/ifconfig"
