To be or not to be....a Father?

My ex-wife is doing everything in her power to prevent me from seeing my daughter. She has gone as far as making allegations that I have molested my little baby. Do I endure this f**cking BS for the next 16 years of my life? or should I cut my losses and convince myself that it was the best thing for both of them and wish them a happy life....

from the responses I got I"ll add a little more. I say "allegations" because my ex-wife isnt "accusing" me . She got a Temporary Retraining Order because my daughter was "touching herself" while taking a bath and my ex thought that this behavior was "strange and unusual" There's alot more to this, but I dont have enough room to write...basically, she wanted to work it out again, I agreed, until I found an email that she wrote to her friend, which made me change my mind really quick. Then all of the sudden I get slapped with a TRO...

Your ex is vicious and she's using the child to get to you.

I assume that there's a court order that you two share custody of the child. Talk to your lawyer and see if you can file for sole custody of her.

It isn't fair to the child for you to jump ship now and it isn't fair to you either, especially if you're paying child support.

Maybe you can arrange to have a neutral third party pick her up from your wife and bring her to you, then the same third party can take her back to her mother. The third party being some one you both know and trust.

Well, if your wife is lying about the molestation of the baby, you should go after her through legal channels. Saying such things about people can be very damaging professionally as well as personally, and by doing this you will also be calling her bluff, as she will have to prove that you did molest your daughter, and if you didn't then that will be proven also.

It sounds to me that you want to fight for your daughter, but you are torn because you don't want her to be your ex-wife's pawn. I think you should fight for yourself first, and once you've established that you are innocent of those allegations, then you can fight to see the daughter.

    Best of luck with it.

i think you should fight her all the way. she's just trying to punish you for the way your relationship ended. as far as her allegations go, if they investigate you will be proved innocent. if you give up on your daughter she will resent you for the rest of her life. i resented my dad for walking away. you obviously care a lot for your baby and if you fight it will be a rocky road but at least you can say that you tried. Good luck, my thoughts are with you

never give up your child no matter what BS the ex gives u. she has the same rights as you do when it comes to your child. Be a father, no matter what. In the end, the child will know who the you are. don't let the ex's stupidity deter you from being a father to your child, ever.

Dont you dare give up on your daughter! You will hate yourself! Get a damn good attorney who specializes in father's rights and fight her. You have every right to see your daughter and she has NO right to stop you!
