# The law of parallelogram of forces?

send me tha law of parallelogram forces:

Relevance

the reultant of two forces ( with an angle to one another) acting in two directions, can be found using this method.

it is dificult to explain without a sketch.

if u need a sketch mail me ranasingheracp@yahoo.com

.............................................................

suppose fist force is AB and the other is CD

draw AB on a paper to a proper scaleand to its direction. now draw the force CD to its direction (to the same scale) such that the starting point C is at A.

now draw a parrel line to CD starting at B and having the same length as CD. do the same for AB and u will get a paralleogram .

now the diagonal which goes through A ( orC) gives you the magnitude (length of diagonal ) and the direction of the resultant.

direction is A to other end .

...............

or else without drawing to a scale you can use trigonomatry to find the resultent.
