Is Sea Water (Salt Water) Hard or Soft???

    According to Wikipedia, what makes water hard is the presence of minerals. Salt water has NaCl or sodium chloride. To test for hardness, do the lather/soap test--soap easily lathers up in soft water while in hard water, it won't. With salt water, it is difficult to lather up with soap. :)
