well, "best" is a somewhat vague term.

A lot of it will depend upon what's the most important to you.

You've already said that it needs to be under $150, and you want it to hold 2GB or more.

I've provided a link from Tiger Direct, you could also check other online places and compare things.

Some things you need to ask yourself - what's important to you - what features do you need to have, what features don't matter that much to you?

Personally, I could care less in my mp3 player has a radio - I use my mp3 player to listen to music I own, not the radio. If I want to listen to the radio (which I usually don't), I'll go out and buy a $10 portable radio.

Some people want voiced recorders, some people want long battery life - it depends upon what's most important to you.

Personally, I think the iPod is the best mp3 player out there. However, the iPod doesn't try to do everything - it's a music player. It doesn't have a voice recorder, or a built in radio. Other companies have created add-ons so if you want to do that - you pay a little extra and buy their product to pop it on to your iPod.

You can get a refurbished (i.e. it got returned because it didn't work -and then got fixed) iPod nano 2GB for under $150 from TigerDirect.

the new "metal" 2GB nano's are $149 from the Apple store - you might be able to get it for $5 or $10 cheaper somewhere else.

I've got a MobiBlu cube... holds 2 gig, and you can find them online different places for under $120. Plays MP3s and WMA files, has a built-in radio with presets, and a voice recorder. And it's TINY, which is really kinda cool.

You may also want to consider where you'll be purchasing downloaded music from. ITunes store files only work with iPods (they're not MP3 files), as my friend found out the hard way.

5.a million Speaker equipment homestead Theater Multimedia encompass Sound New TS515 is sufficient, it does n't keep up a fee of$ 2 hundred yet befittingly priced at$ 80. My suggestion might want to value to drop the few supernumerary funds and convey a nicer equipment in case you apprise high quality sound.
