how do u renew an ip address?

    go in command prompt n run the command....

    ipconfig / release

    n to renew

    ipconfig /renew

    1. Click the Start menu button on the Windows taskbar.

    2. Click Run

    3. Type 'cmd' (without the quotes) in the text box that appears. A command prompt window appears on the screen.

    4. Type 'ipconfig' (without the quotes) to view the status of the computer's IP address(es).

    5. If the computer is holding a current IP address, type 'ipconfig /release' to let go of the address.

    6. Type 'ipconfig /renew' to obtain a new IP address (whether or not the computer is holding a current address).

    if you open up the network connection box you can just hit repair.

    There are other ways to release and renew, if repair doesn't work check back and we'll give you the details on how to do it going through Run from your start button.

    start, run, type cmd, then type ipconfig /renew

    Call the ppl u have your internet service through, and they will give u a new one.
