    Here are a few definitions that i hope are helpfull.

    Stands for Hyper Text Markup Language and is the authoring language used in the creation of documents for the World Wide Web. HTML was initially created for use as a universal common document language for the World Wide Web. It indicates the type of information rather than the exact way it is to be presented. The actual presentation is left to the software that converts the contents to a suitable format for viewing. Text in an HTML document can be translated on-the-fly by a machine translator whereas text embedded in images and graphics (gifs, jpegs) must be localized.

    An abbreviation for HyperText Markup Language, a variant of SGML (Standardized General Markup Language), a page-description language for creating files that can be formatted and displayed by World Wide Web browsers.

    This is a basic setup.

    <html>

    <head>

    <title> The Title Goes Here </title>

    </head>

    <body>

    The content of the document goes here.

    </body>

    </html>

    Heres a little detail.

    <html>...</html>

    Tells the browser to interpret content as HyperText Markup Language. All HTML content must be in-between these tags. Only the head and body tags can be nested directly inside the html tag.

    <head>...</head>

    Specifies information about the document. No information in the head tag will be displayed in the actual document window. This element must be nested within the html element.

    <title>...</title>

    The text entered in the title tag will be displayed on the title bar of the browser, rather than in the browser window. The title must be nested in the head tag.

    <body>...</body>

    Everything in the body element will be displayed in the window of the browser. This is where all of the actual content of the web page will go. It must be nested within the html element.

    n computing, HyperText Markup Language (HTML) is a predominant markup language for the creation of web pages. It provides a means to describe the structure of text-based information in a document — by denoting certain text as headings, paragraphs, lists, and so on — and to supplement that text with interactive forms, embedded images, and other objects. HTML can also describe, to some degree, the appearance and semantics of a document, and can provide additional cues, such as embedded scripting language code, that can affect the behavior of web browsers and other HTML processors.

    HTML means HyperText Mark-up Language. You can make a very simple HTML in your end by using Microsoft Word.

    A.) Open you microsoft word and make a new document and type something there and save them in HTML format. (Make sure that you know the folder on where you save the file)

    B.) Open your Internet Browser and then go click file open and locate the html file that you saved in your folder.

    That's it. Simple.

    Note: There's a option there on the word , save as web page.

    HTML is the code that website creators use to create the webpage. For example, <marquee>Hi there</marquee>. This would make the "Hi there" scroll across the screen of your computer at that particular website. The / means that any text afterwards will stand still.

    It's Hyper Text Meta Language. It's the code used for websites. For example, a bulleted text line would appear as:

    <i>Example of a bulleted text line.</i>
