Why are we comparing military conflicts with the terrorist threat?
They cannot overthrow our government - they have no tanks, no planes, no ships, and no nukes. They only have small bombs and hijackings, and could possibly poison water supplies or other _relatively_ insignificant actions which aren't difficult to stop.
Their _goal_ is to make you afraid, and to pay attention to them and their message. They have no other tool. Are they dangerous? Of course, and _no one_ denies this. But Islam itself isn't any more dangerous than christianity was in the 15th century, and their weapons are at about the same level as they were then.
The real problem is we are threatening muslims simply because they are muslim. Look at how _you_ reacted to the terrorist attack on 9/11. You got mad! Are you surprised they are? You are attacking their way of life too! From their perspective, you should be condemning those who trash muslims. From their perspective our involvement in Iraq should be condemned. Continued mutual hostility only escalates the situation.
tok h - but they should be ours?

It is awful hard to fight a war against an idea and that is what we are attempting to do. I shouldn't say we as I have been against this crazy administration from the beginning.
