A single strand of DNA has a total of 18 bases.13 of them are Guanines and 5 are Adenines. How many Hydrogen bonds would form if this fragment is bonded to a complementary strand?
I think its 49, because A -T bonding results in 2 hydrogen bonds and G -C result in 3...but I'm not sure.

So, the bonds add up to 13(3) + 5(2) = 49. You're right!

Correct, G-C base pairing has 3 H bonds and A-T has 2.
So 49 is correct answer
