Is auto repossesion considered a criminal offense?
If you have trouble cannot pay and bank repossess auto am i considered a criminal?

No it's not criminal, however, you will be considered a poor credit risk for a long time.

Word of advice though, if you are having problems making the payment, don't just sit and wait for the repo truck to show up, since that will increase your debt. Instead, call the lender and tell them you are having problems making the payment, at least then it will show on your credit as a voluntary repossession rather than repossession, and if you drive it in and hand them the keys they won't have to pay me to tow it, saving you money.

Repossessing a vehicle is not a criminal offense. Not paying for a vehicle you have contractually agreed paying for is a civil offense.
I would suggest knowing the means you have compared to the expenses you have. Refinancing is a possible option.
