privacy rights when placing child's photograph on a website?

Does a photographer have to get the permission from a childs parents to place a child's photograph on a website and sell photos the photograghs placed on the website?

    Yes they do have to have the parent sign a permission slip. I know they do that at Sears / JC Penny. The only way they don't have to do it is if the photos are password protected on the internet.

    Yes they have to get the parents permission and they also have to sign an agreement so that if the child is making money from the photos, it will be put into a certain account until the child is of legal age.

    I'm probably wrong but i think if they are on the open internet they are public domain.
