None of these!!! Drugs usually refers to a Medicine which is when consumed during diseased state to bring back the body's mechanism to normal (homeostasis) is called Drug Use.,eg: Paracetamol during fever. Drug Abuse is when a person gets addicted to a certain chemical (which can be a medicine) and consumes too much of it so that it becomes harmful to his body and goes away from homeostasis.,eg: excess consumptions of opoids which can be used to reduce pain during normal use. In other words using drugs for doing good to one's body is called "Drug Use" and misusing it to harm one's own body is called "Drug Abuse".I hope you have understood.

big difference and a great question. Dont listen to anyone hear who says there is no difference cause they are highly uneducated on the topic and are just saying what the media has brainwashed them with.

Huge difference. You dont call someone who drinks a glass of wine at dinner or a few beers after work a few times a week an alchoholic do you? Same thing with drugs and many people do them. Those same people have good homes, good families, great jobs and are productive members of society but the govt isnt gonna show you that. Think about it, why would they show you that. And so what you have are people that just eat up the information their given and dont think there is any other part of it because thats all you see. You dont see the other side of it which is very much part of reality. Not saying drugs cant be bad but its not all people

Drug use doesnt make someone a bad person and just because some govt that doesnt know anything about drugs has made it illegal doesnt mean its wrong either. Alchohol is far more destructive and has caused more death than all other "hard" drugs combined. Im not even gonna go into tobacco carnege. And those are legal. What does that tell you?

When you control the drugs is drug use or recreational use. When the drug controls you, thats drug abuse. Addicted or strung out.
