How do I import a delimited text file into Excel?

I am importing a delimited text file into an Excel 2003 spreadsheet. Everything looks great, except that my currency field is having problems. After the import, an example dollar amount is showing as 85000. When I attempt to convert this field to currency, it ends up looking like $85,000.00. It should only be $850.00. Obviously, Excel is throwing in two extra zeros. Is there anything that I can do to correct this? I'm sure it's easy, but I can't find the solution.

You aren't picking up the decimal delimiter. Start over and make sure that is checked as well as the comma, or whatever your delimiter is.
