Why Do They Call Florida The Sunshine State When Its Always Raining There?

    It doesn't always rain in Florida. It is common for there to be afternoon showers or thunderstorms, but they never last long, and then the sun is happy to come back out and resume your steam bath.

    For the same reason they call California the Golden State when it's so tarnished.

    Because in the winter months it usually does not get to cold or have snow. Its a great place to be if you can take the crowds of the snow birds in the winter.

    they have showers here not always raining. in seattle it always rains.
