Just received a letter from the PR dept at 711 in Texas.

    QUOTE:

“To the best of our corporate research here at 7-Eleven, it is

believed that the wife of the company’s president during the 1960s thought the look of the name in the logo ‘7-ELEVEN’ seemed a little harsh with ALL CAPS, and she suggested that the N be changed to lower case to make the logo look more graceful,” accordiong to Magaret Chabris, Public Relations Director at 7-Eleven headquarteres in Dallas, Texas.

NOW THE WORLD KNOWS …. THE REST OF THE STORY. Maybe Japundit is the first website worldwide to report this…

Margaret Chabris, in the PR department at the 711 headquarters in Texas, adds: “I just received a reply about your question from the son of a former president who was the son of the company’s founder.

A graphics designer altered the “n” during the updating of the logo. In the 1960s, the ELEVEN part of the brand name had been capitalized and at a slight angle through the 7. When the Eleven was straightened out, the designer recommended that the ‘n’ be lowercase for smoothness of the graphic.”

Being "born again" is what seperates the true Christians from the false converts. The Bible makes it clear that there will be false converts. The term is Biblical and should be used. The Holy Spirit will open eyes when it concerns the Word of God. There are many who profess to be Christian but have never had their heart changed. When you become born again, and Christ comes into your heart and changes you, you truly are a new creation..born again. Claiming to be born again gives the opportunity to the lost to ask "Just what do you mean, born again?" the same way Nichodemus did. We don't draw the lost, the Holy Spirit does. Speak the truth in love and let the Holy Spirit do the rest. If you leave off anything that an unbeliever will not understand when speaking to the lost, there won't be anything left of the Gospel. It's all foolishness to them. It's the Holy Spirit's job to make sense of it to them. God bless!!

A few weeks ago I went to TAIWAN for a trip with my family. Before this I never noticed the last "N" was small capital letters. My friends in TAIWAN told me the reason of why the last letter was small capital and I feel shocked for the reason. This is because Chinese believed in FENG SHUI, the shareholder of7-ELEVEn in TAIWAN wonder why the shop always developed in loss situation and ask some suggestion from the fortune-teller. The fortune-teller said that the N will make them loss money bcoz the end of the N means out so if the N change to n, the money will keep in and not loss bcoz the shape of the "n" looks like a shut door to ensure the money can keep in.
