A lot of people confuse breast cancer with fibroids. Fibroids are very common and non-problematic. They feel like lumps and can be very painful right around your period. If you do have lumps it is a good idea to have the doc check it out, just to be on the safe side. If it is just fibroids she can give you ideas on what to do to help with the tenderness. Good Luck!

Cancer is symptomless..unless it is already in its late stage. Breast cancer appears at the early adulthood but most commonly in later years (late 30's). You can do breast examination by yourself at home. Some brassiere brands have instructions on their lables on how to do this. Inspecting for unsusal growth (tumor) and tenderness on certain areas in your breast can give you a sign that you should see a doctor. You can always go for a regular check-up with your OB-GYN and Mammography especially if you knew your family has history on cancer. Hope this helps. God bless!
