    im not too sure what you are asking here but if you want to encrypt web pages then go to http://www.thawte.com all you do is buy an ssl certificate, put it on your page and that page is 100% secured.

    One way encryption is done using an md5 hash. See http://uk2.php.net/manual/en/function.md5.php

    Something like:

    <?php

    $realPassword = md5("HelloWorld");

    $userEnteredPassword = md5($_POST['pass']);

    if ($userEnteredPassword != $realPassword)

    {die();}

    else{ /* do stuff and continue loading page */ }

    ?>

    It is still not 100% secure because if your assailant has a super computer with a hundreds of processors to brute-force search the password then he will get it within a day. One way hashes are recommended to be used. Two way encryption is out of my league so I appologise if I cannot help you with that.
