A better question would be: How many times would you cross the groove on a vinyl lp going from the center of the lp to the perimeter?

a. 1 if it is longer = 12 => across = 8/2 =4

b. 2 if it is longer = 8 => 4 +4 =8 4 = sprocket: 8+4 = 12

• please don't tell me you or someone else is counting the grooves on a record. there is only one continuous spiral....so two grooves *one for each side.*
