    Are your parents rich?

Believe me that makes a big difference.

    Are you beautiful?

If so that will help you but it won't make you popular if you don't know how to use it to your advantage.

    Are you smart?

If so it is the same as being beautiful.

    Same goes for athletics.

If you want to be popular you have to be willing to do things, go to every party, compliment people daily, smile alot, try and be funny, be happy, be interested in others. Popularity is a chore like cleaning or studying. You have to plan each day out and keep yourself in a positive mind set. If you can throw a party now and then it is part of the process. It is probably too late to be a cheerleader, but student council is there for you. Join as many clubs as you can in or out of school. And ask people out. Start with girls and then move on to guys. You need practice. You have one year ro change your destiny give it all you have got.

If you want to be popular as in people truly like you, then be yourself. However, if you want to be in the popular group and have lots of people not like you then try hanging out with the group and do something you feel uncomfortable doing. Dress differently, and make yourself so different you could probably lose some real friends but become well known.

There isn't much point trying to be popular because I tried going that way and I felt miserable. Once I changed schools, a lot more people liked me for being myself. I was popular as in a lot of people like me or know me, but I wasn't in the popular group just from being myself.

Just Smile, treat people how you want to be treated. Be nice to people, don't be a b*tch or a jerk. Be helpful whereever you can and don't come across as arrogant. These percieved attributes will make you loved by all and you will leave long lasting impressions in your last year (good ones). Try to keep things neutral don't jump head first into quarrels, fights and arguments. Be popular with everyone, but don't lose sight of the importance of a couple of close real friends. You can be liked by everyone and loved by your close friends. Its the perfect balance.

    Hmm.

Well, never blow off your best friends for any reason.

You have to be careful because the popular group that you think is so cool, can be really cruel and try to break your friendship up with your close friends. The good news is since your in 8th grade your first year in high school will rock, because even the popular kids freshman year say HI to everyone and hang out.

But for now all i can say is dont try to suck up to them by doing stuff for them because they will just use you and laugh behind your back.

You could just be mutual and talk to everyone which worked for me you wasnt classified has anything! All you really need to do is make friends with one person out of the group then they introduce you to the rest.

Take pride in yourself, be confident and be outgoing. The more people you talk to, the more likely you are to make friends.

And don't get discouraged if EVERYONE doesn't like you. Sometimes people's personalities just clash. If someone acts snooty, move on to the next person and keep on meeting people. And make sure you talk to people from all sorts of different groups. You never know where you might people you have something in common with.

    Have fun!

if you were the quite sort in your first few years of middle school then forget about being popular in the eight grade (sorry for sounding curel). wate till high school then try being popular.

    A few tips

    1. be nice to people

    2. try not being the teachers pet

    3. being out going

    4. try flirting to get guys to notice you (but not to much)

    5. get involved in school actvites.

This year try to make your appearences bigger than ever. Don't over do it. Just make sure hair, make up, clothes all in oreder. Don't go off having sex with everyone, just step up your game, flirt a lot more, try to go with one of the popular guys like on the football team or basketball team. Become a cheerleader or something.

Do NOT turn yourself into a sl*t!

If you want to be popular with other girls, then ignore the boys except to mildly say "Yeah, he's okay..." Girls are REAL possessive about the guys they like.

Listen more than talk, but give your honest opinions when you do.

Help your friends with their homework without being pushy about it.

Don't be afraid to sing and dance and carry on stupidly, if that is what your friends are doing.

Cool, I'm going into 8th grade too! Be very outgoing! And don't be afraid to have fun! Talk to more boys as if they were ur brother or cousin so its easier to talk! And start making a lot of more girl friends! Keep in with the latest trends! but not only be flirtatious with the boys, keep up with your grades! If your going to be popular, atleast be a SMART one! lol.

Okay well i hope I helped! And don't forget, BEING OUTGOING IS KEY!

My only advice to you: Just do what you like to do and try your best at it. If you encourage otheres to do so too, it may help your popularity. In 7th grade, I wasn't a loser, but I wasn't the popular person either. In 8th grade, I just did what I did best - get straight A's and encouraged my friends to do better- and that earned me about 10 more friends. Friends like you for who you really are, not what you have, or what you pretend to be. I'm just known to be a smart, comical, and sarcastic one out of my friends.
