how do u tell if an element is stable?

    It has one or more valences those are the rings the first is 2 electrons and the second and every ring after that are able to hold 8 electrons if one or more elements combine to make the rings full then the atom is stable. hope i helped.

    It is stable if it has 8 valence shell electrons. around it, weather it be alone or combined with another element.
