    And you book is about????

We speak of the importance of marriage & that it is forever.

Different denominations have different vows but basically they are the same:

I take you to be my ____, to love, honor, cherish; thru sickness & health, good & bad times, rich or poor, keeping faithful until parted by death.

For your book, I would suggest spell check.

Each pastor is different. My fiance/husband is a lay minister, and at the weddings he gave a quick sermon about the value of love (people always do), did the recited vows, said "you may now kiss the bride" and then "it gives me great joy and happiness to give you, for the first time on God's earth, Mr. & Mrs.______"

There is normally a reading, a sermon on the meaning of marriage, the traditional vows, the ring ceremony, and then the pronouncement. It varies denomination to denomination, so I would google the specific religion and wedding vows to get a better idea.

You might try actually asking a protestant pastor, you know.

I wouldn't be surprised if it was a bit different for each denomination - Lutheran, Methodist, Baptist, etc.
