I usually use an olive oil and butter combo; lard only if I'm deep frying something, which is rare.

    Almost alway use canola oil.

Occasionally olive oil, or a mix of the two.

They're two of the healthiest oils you can use.

oilive oil and corn oil, vegetable oil is a blend of leftover crap, don't use it, use pure one source oils, cook asian with corn oil and organic sesame oil, olive for all sauteing, extra virgin for salad dressings/finnishing off a dish, don't use EVOO for heating , this is not good for the oil_ altering the taste, and not good kitchen economics

    ow ehhh

For deep frying, the olive oil grade "olive oil," is excellent because it has a higher smoke point (410º F) than virgin or extra virgin oils.

but for mixing with salads i prefer the extra virgin
