the oranges of the tree at home are juice less,dry all year round,what causes this?

soil type is clay,the tree gets a lot of water,leaves dark in colour,looks healthy it's an older tree but looks damaged from owners before me doing ok now.It has a ample amount of friut on it for it's size,which is about 6ft high

Update:

and the oranges are the valencia variety.

    Are you sure it's not just an ornamental orange tree? Some of the trees produce fruit for eating, and some produce fruit for looking at. Sounds like you have one that's just for looking at.

    The sun is needed ,a lot.Also have they gone through any cooler weather or a freeze of any sort,past or present.

    not enough water, don't matter what kind of soil you have, if you do not water enough they will be dry.
