I need help?

There's this concert tomorrow that my friend invited me to go to. there's different bands playing, I was only looking forward to going to see one band not a whole bunch. and that one band is from

9-11, but i found out that my friend who invited me to go with him, he's going for the whole thing which is from 1-11, I don't want to go to the whole thing, I don't know what to tell him, I talked to my mom about it and got mad at me and said taht I should go anyway, I'm closophobic, she said that I should meet him there at 6, but then that'll be 4 hours in that large crowd of people and I don't think I can make it that long in that crowd, they'll be very little room. So I don't know what to do. i don't know how to explain to him. Cause if I go for the whole thing I can get really dizzy and faint. So please can anyone give me good advice. My mom is trying to make me go for 6:00 but I don't want to. What should I do. The concert is tomorrow. Please can anyone give me good advice!

It sounds like your mom is trying to help you overcome being claustrophobic. I'm sure she has your best interests at heart. But, being a person who suffers from claustrophobia, I understand what you are saying. Just the thought of being in such a situation makes me anxious. The only thing I can suggest is that you sit down with your mom and have a heart-to-heart talk with her. Try to stay calm as you describe what happens to you if you have to be in a crowd like that for more than an hour or 2. I pray that she'll listen with an open mind and not continue to force you to go. God bless!

You don't mention your age, but If you Cant handle crowds for that long, your MOM should be the first one to suggest not going till 8 or 8:30, and leaving at 11! As for the friend that invited you, TELL him that can't handle the crowd for that length of time. and If they still Insist on the early showing, Put your foot down and politly decline to go at all ... (Gee, I'm sorry, but it turns out I can't go.... Maybe next time?)

... How bad do you want to see this band?

Have you talked to your friend about it. If he's a true friend I'm sure he'll understand and maybe you can compromise and meet

him a hour or so before the band you want to see starts. And I agree try to stay near the rear if you don't like to be crowded by people.

First of all, have you tried to get some help for your condition? Second, you should tell your friend about your problem, he should understand. And perhaps you can meet him there at the time you want to be there to see the band. But you'll first have to see if that is at all possible.

I would recommend you try to get treatment for this it is tough to deal with but it may be worth it .its the unknown that is what we truely remember such as the concerts we have been to or the dinners we have spent with families when we visit them I understand you not wanting to go but I would just hate for this to be one of your fondest memories that you never have. If you do go though I would be careful not to make him miserable throught the experiance by constantly saying you want to go home right when you get there maybe you could find someone else who wants to go and would love to take you for the fewer hours.

If you can only tolerate 2 hours in a crowd and that's all that your body can handle, then work with that. Don't let your mother and your boyfriend push you around, because you are the only one that understands your strengths and weaknesses...Ok?

Go at the time that you are comfortable with and if you have to leave the building and stand out side then go back in. As well talk to your boyfriend if he likes you he will understand.

if you can make it for 2 hrs. you can make it for a little longer. try to get your friend to go eat somewhere w/ you at 6 then take your time and go back in time for the 9 o'clock show.

Do not go. Your time is too precious. It must not be wasted like that.Instead read and study Quran that will give you strength and guide you the right path and will connect to your Creator so you will not need any help from others

u could also stand behind the crowd cuz chances r that every1 is gonna b packed up next to the stage
